The next generation of Broadcast App (BA) will leverage the hybrid nature of ATSC 3.0 (built from the ground up to take advantage of both broadcast and broadband), and will enable broadcasters to create interactive services that are more immersive. Additionally, these new services can be received on mobile and other IP devices in the home such as tablets and set-top boxes.  

The new BAs will enable Broadcasters to pursue targeted ad insertion, targeted local news, integrate OTT/OTA services, advanced emergency information services, and allow viewers to customize their viewing experiences.

The panel will show what these new BAs look like and explain how TV stations implement them. Attendees will come away understanding how a broadcaster can use an ATSC 3.0 enabled Broadcast App to better serve their communities and improve their business outlook.
