BEAM Dynamics, one of the 2021 PILOT Innovation Challenge winners, and Spalk, one of the of the 2022 PILOT Innovation Challenge Winners, will present the details of their winning submissions.
BEAM Dynamics will present BeamON, a product intelligence platform for broadcast stations. Their platform service (SaaS) helps broadcast & film operations to dramatically improve the control of their critical production inventory and reduce product downtimes. BEAM’s unique data graph allows users to combine their inventory data with latest vendor product updates, e.g. new firmware versions.
Spalk’s Virtual Sportscasting Studio allows for remote production of network-quality live sports programming. Spalk will work with faculty and students at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University to produce high-quality, remote commentary and play-by-play to broadcast live sporting events on their channels. This allows local broadcasters to produce COVID-19 safe, low-cost, high-quality content which leads to expanded local sports coverage and new revenue opportunities.
The PILOT Innovation Challenge is designed to identify startups and growing companies providing solutions to some of the key challenges and opportunities facing broadcasters over the next two to three years. The winners were selected by a panel of broadcast industry representatives.
