Manager of Environmental Sustainability at Walt Disney Company

Lisa Day has worked at the intersection of media and the environment for her entire career.  She is currently a Manager of Environmental Sustainability Manager at The Walt Disney Company where her primary role is developing and overseeing sustainability on the feature films, television shows, and documentaries produced by the company’s many studios, and helping to ensure the company meets its 2030 Goals that include Net Zero emissions, procuring 100% zero carbon electricity, and zero waste to landfill. 

Prior to her role at Disney, Lisa was the Director of Sustainability at 20th Century Fox, leading Fox’s sustainable production efforts as well as at the iconic Fox Studios in Los Angeles and Fox Studios Australia.  

Lisa is also a founder of the Sustainable Production Alliance (SPA), a consortium of the world’s leading film, television and streaming companies dedicated to advancing sustainability in the industry and, in partnership.  She is also a founder, in partnership with the Producers Guild of America PGA Green Committee, the Green Production Guide, a online resource for filmmakers internationally offering free tools, a vendor guide, and other resources to help shows understand and reduce their environmental impacts.

Lisa earned her B.A. from New College and her JD from the UCLA School of Law.
